Link dump - week 39
Howdy!
A few weeks ago I linked to DiffusionBee, an app that makes it easy to run Stable Diffusion, which is an algorithm similar to DALL-E 2 on your M1/M2 Mac. Sadly, Intel Mac users couldn’t use it. But since version 0.2 they can also join the fun (albeit slowly). The latest version also adds some nice UI tweaks, and they have a brand-new website.
There used to be a time, not so long ago, when creating stuff for the web was harder than it should’ve been. Not being able to do what you want to do because you are limited by the platform was very frustrating. But that’s a thing of the past because The Web is Good Now.
Here in Belgium, we use the AZERTY keyboard layout, and the rest of the QWERTY using world laughs at us. Some people swear by even stranger layouts, such as DVORAK. This raises the question: what is the most efficient keyboard layout? AI found out.
Lastly, before I just dump a crap load of links onto you. Aphex Twin has released an app. It’s called samplebrain, and it’s well … interesting. You can download it from his Gitlab page.
Have fun with the links below!
